TOUR CHICAGO
See historical sights and learn the fascinating stories behind Chicago and its architecture—aboard Enchantment, the newest, state-of-the-art member of Island Party Boat’s fleet. The salon has huge windows, spacious seating and—joy of all joys—air conditioning.
BE AMAZED
It’s not just deep-dish pizza. Chicago has its own style of magic, too, and you have an up-close seat to experience three of our glasses-wearing best-of-the-best.
Edd Fairman (Emcee/Magician) is the Mike Ditka of magic: changed Chicago forever, even though he’s from Pennsylvania. Edd’s specialty is Chicago-style bar magic, adapted to play for a crowd in the ship’s salon.
John Sturk (Maestro/Tour Guide) is a legendary improv pianist, with credits including Second City. His music backs up the magic performances, and he also happens to be an experienced river tour guide. He also happens to be President-Elect of the Society of American Magicians.
Scott Green (Magician) has been the Chicago Bulls’ team magician and is a regular on Chicago’s Own WGN. Credits include “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” where he cracked eggs over Alyson Hannigan’s head.
DRINK UP
With two fully stocked bars on board, you can enjoy the perfect hard or soft drink to kick up your heels and relax. Your first drink is included with your ticket.
FAQ
Where do I board the boat?
The boat boards at 355 East Riverwalk South, Chicago, IL 60601. It’s the south side riverwalk of the Chicago River. If you set your maps app to 300 E. Wacker, you’ll get pretty close; take the stairs down to the Riverwalk and look for the Island Party Boat docking area.
What ages are allowed on the boat?
Only patrons 21 and up are allowed on the boat. Sorry, Two Children Sitting On Each Other’s Shoulders In A Trench Coat!
How long does the evening last?
MAGICRUISE lasts two hours, give or take, from leaving the dock to returning.
Where do I park my car?
If you’re driving, we recommend searching for a space on SpotHero near 300 E. Wacker (on the south side of the river). Otherwise we’re conveniently located a brief walk from the Lake Red Line stop or Clark/Lake stop (most other L lines).
Will I learn about architecture and Chicago history?
Absolutely! John’s Chicago tour is insightful, informative, and, best of all, irreverent and really fun.
Is there a bathroom on the boat?
We’ll do you one better: TWO bathrooms.
Do you sail in bad weather?
It has to be bad enough weather to create unsafe conditions, but in that case, the cruise would be canceled and your money refunded.
Can I book a private cruise for my company/family/group?
Yes. Please reach out through the contact form below.
